CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP JR. / SR. SCHOOL BEGINS ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADE PROJECT!
Althouse, Martin & Associates is pleased to be assisting the Conemaugh Township Area School District in Davidsville, PA with its current Project to provide upgraded handicapped accessible facilities to assist their staff and student census having physical disabilities that make everyday life a challenge.
The CTASD is focusing primarily on two areas: upgrading existing restroom facilities for both students and faculty; and, providing a connecting ramp from the Gymnasium level to the Main Classroom level, which was previously only served by steps.
The Project also includes upgrading selected aspects of their Special Needs Classroom to assist students having a wide variety of challenges with assimilating into mainstream daily life functions. The finishes incorporated into these upgrades and the ramp addition extend the brighter and cleaner appearance incorporated into the recent locker room renovations throughout these renovated areas. The construction of the ramp was selected over the installation of an elevator to allow all students to take advantage of the new facility.
The Project has an ambitious schedule to be completed before the Fall, 2016 semester begins!
